Help me narrow down the diagnosis >>> ’90 760 Turbo stalling… 700

Three days ago I picked up a ’90 760 Turbo with 197k. The former owner confessed of cold start problems and occasional stalling. After I replaced all the vacuum lines, turbo intake hose, air filter, and changed out the fluids, it remedied the cold start problem. Now the car starts and most often runs like a champ. The remaining issue is the occasional stalling. It can occur at idle or at virtually any speed - cold or warm - engine and/or ambient - the stall problem is non discriminating . When I am successful at starting the car, and I turn the ignition, I typically hear the main fuel pump buzz. Yet directly after the engine stalls and I attempt a restart, I hear nothing. The dash lights up, but no pump noise. After about 1 minute or so, upon turning the key I hear the friendly fuel pump buzz and it will restart without an issue. I have a fuel pump relay on order (delivery today), but wondered if I should be considering other possibilities as well. In the archives I have found information regarding the two relays # 1323592, and the speed sensor, both of which can also create problems… but wasn’t sure if they would affect the fuel pump in this manner.
As always – thanks a ton in advance.
Craig
