wierd electrical stuff??? 200 1979

i drive a '79 bertone with a b21f out of a '80 240 in it... the motor swap was not done by me (it was done when i bought the car) so im not sure if it could be part of the issue so maybe you guys can help me out. i first noticed it with my sterio, the deck would cut out if i was running the head lights and like.. turned on the heater fan or put on the breaks.. or sometimes it would even do it during the day. i have a 2000 watt amp running my subs so i thought that maybe i was trying to pull too much juice from my car so i installed a 2.4 farad capacitor for my amp and it seemed to fix the problem for a few weeks and then it went back to doing the same thing. someone told me it might be the deck.. so i replaced it and then my sub's wouldnt cut out.. just all my other speakers in my car. then it progressed to sometimes now if its night and i have my headlights on and i pull up to a stop sign, the motor will just die. it will start back up again if i just put it back in park so i dont think its the alternator (plus i already replaced that). if i keep my foot on the gas a bit and keep the car revved up it will be fine. i also smell electrical smoke at random times too (kinda scary). i dont know if this makes sense to anyone.... im hoping it does.

thanx,

Nathan
