Has anyone had a differential sieze up on a 240?

If it's making noise primarily when you're changing speed or direction I'd really suspect the rear bushings. You know.. the ones for the trailing arms (front and rear bushings), the ones for the panhard rod, etc.

If they haven't been replaced in the past 10 years, go look at them.

If they have, and you didn't use Volvo or IPD brand bushings for the RTA - rear trailing arm bushings, go replace them with the proper part.
