Transmission Settings Blinking 900

My 92 960 settings lights are blinking from W mode to E mode. If I click on S it blinks from the W to the S modes. Seems to be locked on the W then it rotates when I switch settings. Its switching gears just fine just but the lights are driving me nuts! Has anyone seen this before? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
