Oxygen sensor and fuel economy 200

I am going to replace my oxygen sensor for the first time (189,000 mi) and was curious if I could expect to increase my MPG. I am currently getting around 16 MPG around town. For those of you who have replaced the Oxygen sensor what kind of change did you see in your MPG? I now know that this should be replaced every 30,000 mi for my 1984 240 DL.
