What's this wire? 700 1989

Putting the intake manifold, alternator, and battery back into my '89 740 turbo, along with several vacuum/fuel hoses and electrical circuits to reattatch.

I can't remember this wire:

12" long, black, with large, 10mm I.D. eyelet terminals on either end. One end has a red sheath (label) listing what may be a part number:

"K 1348043 PO2"

Guage looks to be about 14 (judging from me residential electric experience)

I already have an 8" blue ground wire for the 8mm nut on the back of the alternator, so, I don't believe this is another ground wire.

And I don't see any terminal blocks on the AC compressor for something like this.

Can somebody please set me straight?
