Some questions about Springs 900

I've been "personalizing" a 93 940TI wagon I purchased this summer. It had 153K when I got it and was completely stock and in great shape. So far I've installed 25/25mm IPD sway bars, poly front bushings, a lower chassis brace, Boge ProGas rear shocks and plan to add a Cherry upper brace and front Boges to match. Hydras with Bridgestone Potenzas make it a solid package, but I'm not satisfied with how the car sits - the back seems too low for my taste and on a recent trip from Massachusetts back to Chicago with just luggage,it dropped about 3/4 inch more. So...

I've been considering three possibilities. One is to cut about 1/2 a turn off the springs when I install the cartridges to lower the front about 1/2-3/4". The second is to just get a set of IPD overload springs to raise the rear end. Handling is a priority, so I don't want a skittish rear axle, and I don't carry weight too often. Finally, I've shimmed rear springs on a 145, but that involved merely inserting 3/4" stock between the upper spring plate and the frame - don't know it this is even an option for a 940. I would welcome any info about either option (or any other suggestion), particularly how IPD's springs effect handling and ride.
