Project M41...update

Hmmm....a trip to sunny OK to tear apart a transmission... sounds like fun! You buy the beer...

Don't know about M410... but I suppose its similar. And bearings might actually be available. In all honesty, the project was a lot easier than I expected. Just a case of "order of operations" largely. Took 10 hours the first time on Saturday to get it apart and back together. Second time took an hour and a half the same day...

Biggest problem now is... I've got the car, the engine, the transmission, the rear end, the driveshaft...all necessary parts... and we're not going to have another nice day until March...

Only special tools were the dummy shaft which I made, and the reverse gear puller... and unless your reverse gear needs replaced, it don't need to come out at all... At least not on a M40/41. Not sure about M400/410.

This Stallings fella... rengs a bell, but not loudly enough for me to know who that is....?
