How long have you had your brick ?

The late Rumblegutz ('88 245)was purchased new in Dec 87, and retired 7/2001 after 251,000 miles of faithful service. Still had the original clutch! Untimely retirement was due to being rear-ended.

Replacement Son of Gutz is a '92 245, bot last summer at 118K, now at 151K.

Blaustein is the '91 244 bot this past summer for the younger generation, at 98K.

When I inherited 'Gutz from the wife, she got a new '97 855 which met its end in May of ought-ought (88K miles) - T-boned by a blue hair. Credit SIPS for keeping son in front passenger seat from injury.

That vehicle was replaced with another '97 855, now at 110K.

5 Bricks, 21 aggregate years of Volvo ownership. 702K total miles, of which my family and I drove 436K.
