How many qts. of trans fluid do I need for a home flush?

Here's tip that takes a little more time, takes a bit more (petroleum) ATF, makes more waste oil, makes it harder to tell when the synthetic ATF is in.... other than that it's a OK tip:

First flush with inexpensive petroleum ATF until it comes out clean. Adjust volume as required, drive for a week or two. Then flush with written spec. quantity of synthetic ATF.

So not only will you have a cleaner AT, your expensive synthetic ATF will able to perform even better with contamination with OLD petro ATF.

Remember when flushing to go through the gears.
