Are all J-type Overdrives basically the same?

Compare the splines of the tranny output shaft with the splines of the 76 OD. That is where you will run into trouble if any. I believe the 75's and 76's used the same spline arrangement.

No matter what, keep the Sprague cam and planetary sun gears together.

Everything else should transfer over with just gaskets.
