I HateThese Dang 2-piece Driveshafts. 900 1992

My 92 965 has a 2-piece driveshaft with (3) single-cardon joints. I have been unable to completely eliminate some minor vibration particularly on hard acceleration. I have replaced all joints, center bearing, center bearing support and balanced the driveshaft. I believe the main cause of this vibration is having an uneven number of single cardon joints. What is needed is to replace the joint at the transmission with a double-cardon or C.V. joint.

QUESTION: It is my understanding that VOLVO added a C.V. joint to their driveshafts on later models of the 960. Does anyone know if this is true and do you know what year they started doing this. I would like to investigate the possibility of retrofitting a later model driveshaft on my 92 965.
