Open underhood connectors...what are they? 200 1987

Greetings, bricksters: Under the hood of my '87 are two open connectors, one on each side of the engine bay. They are blue in color, one is near the washer tank, the other near the main fuse and the battery. What are they for? Are these the hook ups for the euro style side turn indicators that fit in place of the Volvo badge on each front fender? Thanks, as always.
