Engine identification, fuel questions, disorganized rambling and seeking advice 200 1983

hello,

How exactly do I know what engine I have? I thought I had a B23F with LH2.0 fuel injection, but I'm not sure.
I have a 1983 DL, 4 speed manual w/OD.

I want to order a bunch of replacement parts (distributor cap/rotor, fuel filter, relays, pumps, etc.) but I can't seem to figure out which ones I need.

My brick is becoming increasingly difficult to start, and some of ya'll suggested that beyond normal tune-up items, I should replace the fuel check valve. I think that's in the fuel pump (but not the main expensive one?), so I may just replace the pump for good measure. Actually I want to replace everything replaceable that is not too expensive, for instance the main fuel pump would be out of range in price for me to replace all willy-nilly. My reasoning is that I have a 20 year old car that I've only had for less than 2 years, and I've done no maintenance to my brick other than oil. Does that seem obsessive? Ah well, it will make me happy. Do you have any suggestions of the sort of things I should add to my list? I'm talking about replacing relatively cheap consumables that aren't yet broken, but I don't have any idea of the last time any of it was replaced. Things under the $50 range per part, new or refurbed.
