Nuetral safety switch? Car stranded....Update

Wife picked me up and I ran back and forth from home to the drugstore. You've got to realize that my little burg has but one stoplight and about 2500 folks. Everything is close unless you feel the need to go to some big chain outfit in the county seat.

Did put in the safety switch from my 85 in the stranded car. The 85's switch must have been put in by the p.o. recently...it was pristine. I was in mid blower motor on the 85 when this happened so it was not going anywhere today anyway.
