Introduction

Hi, Eric. This board is the best thing next to Volvo itself. My boss was having trouble with a Toyota and I spent too much time looking for a "Toyo-board" but never found one. Before I stumbled onto this forum, I didn't even have the nerve to change my own oil. Now I'm doing research on fixing rust which I plan to tackle next spring. This board also helped me to make a decision on my next set of tires, which I will need very soon.

My first brick was my beloved 1971 142S (maroon), my high school love mobile (not!). Killed in 1989 thanks to a high-risk-insurance moron who ran a red light, I briefly drove a '78 242 (tan). I've also owned a 1973 144E (Sunkist orange), and a 1982 244DL (white at one time). Now I have my Mom's 1984 244DL (beige).

There's a wealth of info and experience here, which will save money and provide a satisfying hobby.

Welcome aboard!
