Is this the wrong MAF for my car???

How do I identify the 2.2 from the 2.4 systems? I have seen info which states that after 89 the 2.4 was used...this is confusing... Anyhow my car currently has the 007 AMM and it seems to run fine. What is more confusing is that upon buying the car, the previous owner handed me a spare 016 AMM and said that that was on the car originally, but he swaped it out after he thought that the unit went bad.
Confusing.....any info appreciated
