1990 740 gle stalling without warning at any speed or at idle sometimes 700 1990

This car has a mind of it's own, it will shut down without warning. sometimes once a day, sometimes once a week, more recently sometimes 2 or 7 times daily. has new computer, coil. I can hear fuel pump working. always restarts, sometimes it starts right away sometimes it takes a minute, but always restarts. It will shut down at any time without warning. sometimes on the highway, sometimes idle. 250,000 miles and when it is running is a fantastic car. I love it too much to park it. HELP PLEASE
