At my wit's end with wet carpets in my 740!!!

Sorry if I missed an earlier thread on this topic, but did you check the rocker panel drains? These are located along the bottom edge of the rockers, and any objects (pine needles, etc.) absorbed through the air intake will end up in the rockers, ultimately clogging these drains. If these get completely blocked the overflow will end up in the floor. Also, just a thought (and I'm sure you've checked) but you might want to make sure the drain hoses in the trunk have not been knocked off their attachments.
