fuel adatives opinions wanted.... 900

ok I have finaly accepted im going to have to change the turbo...leaking way to much oil...

in deciding wether to do this or just sell the car i did a compression test - which came out ok apart from no.1 cylinder being down about 14% on the others - but this didnt improve when 'wet' so im guessing valve...

the plugs were carboned up from burning the steady stream of oil vapour..now it struck me that before I fit a new turbo getting rid of this build up would be a good idea...and a chemical petrol adative like 'redex' might go a long way....

but I want to do it before i change the turbo on the grounds that its exiting via the turbo and exhaust pipe so i dont want it exiting thru my new turbo...

anyone got any recomendations/worries about using these products - or any tips on the best ways to use them?

thanks in advance
