Alternatives to Volvo (be nice) ?

I agree w/ invar's post (below)..If you are a DIY and don't wnat to spend a lot of money in another car, a good condition 81-85 733i/735/745i (E23) would be a good car. You need to research and know them just like our volvos,before you buy one. One thing I can attest to is they are rugged and durable and last a long time.Those year/model are really DIY friendly and parts are readily available.I just bought one as a project car.I would not trade any of my volvos though..
