Help - CHATTER noise from the rear of car! 700

I just replaced the rear springs on my 1989 740GL (with a set of used overload springs). Now whenever I apply the brakes lightly and go over a small bump/uneven surface, I get some chatter or grinding sounds.

The Brake pads are OK and there is NO noise when 1)braking hard 2)braking lightly and on a smooth surface 3)just randomly going over bumps with no brakes applied 4) pressing down/rocking on the back end of the car.

The intermittent noise is driving me crazy!! Please please help me fix this!

Thanks in advance,

Tim
