240 won't start - no diagnosis codes appear 200 1989

originally my 240 od relay went and its fuse -- it was a wire to the solenoid classic problem. it is now fine.

now the 240 will start one day and not the next -- my mechanic says he checked the ignition system from start to finish. When it would not start for him -- he said there was no spark. he replaced the wires, connectors, coils, fuse -- all except the ecu -- says that rarely is the problem. suddenly it will start - spark and all --- then it begins not starting for no reason -- i just replaced the battery thinking i might be missing the obvious.

the diagnostic computer shows nothing - not even a 1-1-1 code --
there is a ghost in the machine -- help - i have to go to work. --thanks
