Keep in mind that with Tire Rack, you still must go the the guy around the corner for mounting and balancing -- and ALL of those labor dollars stay in local pockets to support a local family. In contrast, most of the dollars you pay to buy the tires -- whether from Towne Fair or from Tire Rack or from Joe's Tyre Shoppe -- go to the tire manufacturer, which is probably not in New England and maybe not in the US.
