Battery size and hold-down question 700 1990

Notied the battery was sitting crooked in my son's 740 GLE. PO may have installed smaller battery size than standard (?) and sheet metal is pretty crusty with rust at the rear of the battery box where it joins the fender. Not sure if all of the front holddown parts are there or installed right.

Two questions:
-what size battery (external dimensions) should I be using. (if you have a web reference, I'll look it up)
-will one of those "Universal" battery hold down kits work (anybody in the rust belt tried it?). Any other hold down advice?

Thanks!
