Urgent, how to locate the starter

Your getting power to your solenoid if your sure that is where the click is coming from. It should be loud and mechanical sounding. Look down on the rear of the motor where it connects to the bellhousing of the transmission. Under your intake manifold down low you should see one small cylinder(solenoid) mounted on top of a larger cylinder(starter) with a wire coming from your battery. Have someone try to start the car and you should be able to hear the click in that vicinity. Try banging on it and try to start.
