Injectors

thats right, the k-jet injectors are held in by that plastic retaining cover thing, and by the compression of the O-Ring. If there seems to be an excessive amount of play in the injector then yes, the seals should be replaced. Replace the seals should help smooth out the idle as it eliminates many vacuum leaks. Use a bit of lubricant when installing the new O-rings. These injectors are so cheap... $25/ea at FCP Groton, it almost makes sense to replace them as opposed to cleaning them. A diesel shop should be able to clean them , or you can soak them in injector cleaner over night. Just use caution when remove the injector s from the fuel line, you dont want any rounded fitting heads, especially on the fuel line.
