Well, I messed about a bit this weekend with the engine/transmission swap in the wagon. THings are going well enough. Got the new motor in place, but plenty of finish work to pick at.
The question is... a switch sticking out sideways at the front of the linkage housing on 140/160/1800 transmission tops. Not the reverse lights which is at teh back of the reverse selector rod, and not the 4th gear switch which is near the front top... its a 3 prong switch sticking out sideways. Justin and I were just messing around trying to figure out what it is for...? Seems to complete a connection in either nuetral or reverse, but not in any forward gear.
What's it do? SOmething with the seatbelt/door buzzer? Or?
Also, Not that this applies to anyone but me...myself being a fan of no linkage wobble sticks. But, a M40/41 wobble stick cover will bolt right up to a M400/410 transmission and work great. So...if I blow out my M41 with the hot rod engine, I know that I can stick the 410 in there and it should work. Of course, the M410 needs some bearings. And also, you need the right bell housing and other stuff from an early 1800E, which is the only place you'd find a M410 hooked to a B20...
