Mystery switch and a few other things transmission

Play with that switch a little more. I think it contains both the
reverse lockout and 4th gear lockout. The one on the back is the
backup light switch. BTW if you can get flag type connectors they will give
you a little more room/less risk of shorting on that side switch.
Also if you can get it hooked up before the granny, uh, er, TRANNY goes
up in the tunnel it will make it easier on the hand that pushes the terminals.
