No OD.....The solenoid is working fine.

As an ex auto tech, I will assume that the ATF is topped off. However, since the old OD had a slot cut in it, the careful care and maintenance of the car may be an issue.

I have seen others recommend doing a tranny flush to see if things improve. Not much time, not much money--and a whole lot easier than doing a swap from a junkyard or ($$GULP$$) a rebuild.
