Turbos

You are the one who needs a turbo. Speed cost money and it is more expensive
to maintain and repair a turbo. They are the kind of car that responds very
well to a DIY owner. I doubt that your Mother wants to be that. My turbo has
been just as reliable as the normally aspirated 240. But, that took being someone who does their own repairs. There are things like always running premium gas,
don't miss an air filter change, using synthetic oil. These all add up to probably twice what it cost as compared to what a B230 car would cost to run.

When you do have to service the turbo it does cost a lot of money. Even if you
do the work yourself. I have resurrected a few turbos over the last several years
and it always ends up being a few thousand or more to really sort the car out and have it drive the way it should. Even the newest 240 is going to be 10 years old
next year so all these cars are old. Mom might best be served by a nice regular
240 and you can get the turbo. Happy rolling!
