I own a 91 940T with turbo+, it has 161000 on it and has been a wonderful car so far. Earlier in the summer I had this same problem with Wide Open Throttle runs. It seems as if the car would "choke" down when ever I would have it floored and it had "hang" around the 5000 rpm point. I would actually choke and then run and choke and then run as if I was hitting a rev limiter or something. Should I hold it to the floor then eventually my rpm drops would get lower and lower. I almost seems like my intake hose is calapsing or something. I would not have the problem coming outta first gear into second, it would only happen when the motor had to hang for a while around 5000 rpms i.e. shifting from second to third. The problem's back again. Its only appearant when the cars in 3rd gear and Im flooring it.(90+ mph) Last time I had this problem I found a whole wad of foam that had come loose and gotten trapped in the air mass meter screen. So I cleaned it out and took out all the foam and no more problems. Since the first occurance I've had the CAT changed, the fuelfilter changed, the air filter changed also. I was wondering if anyone has ever had this type of problem before and if so guide me where to start looking!! THanks in advance fellow brickters!!!!
