It sound like an air raid siren? Impending Snow. 200 1986

When it gets cold outside sometimes my 86 240 sounds like I have an air raid siren under the car hooked to the drive shaft. You do not hear the sound at higher speeds. Where it usually is the most apparent is slowing down from 15mph to stop. I had this problem with it right after I bought the car in the fall of 2000. Last year I did not hear the sound. I thought that I had solved the problem with the new trailing arm bushings I put in Sept'01. This morning I heard the sound again on the way to work. My thought is that it is the center support bearing.

The strange thing is that it seems to be more likely to make the sound right before a snow. We have had some cold days and it has not made the sound. But now the weather forecast is calling for snow.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
Brian
