Power Steering Problem causing car to stall

hmmm causing a stall...

well perhaps but that would tend to indicate that thier is a LOT of drag on the pulley - so you could have bearings failing in the pump i.e it could get terminal very quickly! I would also say that much drag is NOT good for the belt...

if you think im having you on...think about idling with aircon on...your PS must be putting out more drag than an aircon pump...OUCH

of course it could be two problems that are seperate..

can you disconnectthe belt to the PS leaving water pump etc connected (sorry own an 8 valve no a 16 so not making any comments) is so just remove the belt and run the car if it stops stalling must be the pump...if it doesnt you have another problem as well
