Speedometer stopped working 700 1990

Mine had a similar problem. There are two wires going into the spedometer sending unit on the rear axle. The unit is on the top of the center rear housing. The wires had frayed quite a bit and only one was connected. If you get under the car you can see and feel the wires. I took mine to my mechanic to fix, because it was hard to reach and he can do a much better job than I can.
