Simple Coil Spring Question 700 1988

Your springs in the rear will sagg down. Look at your car on a level flat parking surface at a distance of about 30 feet. Does the rear end look like it is sagging down? If not, are the rear tires looking anything other than normal wear or are they cupped or have a continuing series of flat areas ? How is the ride over sudden dips and buppy roads? Does the rear end kind of dance around under these conditions? If so its your SHOCKS. My 88 740 gle wagon did the dance ,so I installed new shocks and now it rides like new again. They are very easy to change, in fact the 740 non turbos are the easyist car for anyone to work on of all the cars I have ever had, and I'v had most makes and models, imports and domestics. Volvo's are simple to maintain and work on and in my research found that I lucked out to find out that the 1988 Volvo's are the safest car you could be driving in including all of the 2003 models, hows that for safty ? Well I hav'nt bought a car ever sence I bought my Volvo and I love the damn thing as you can tell. Good luck and enjoy your Volvo. Dan.
