Experienced replacers of famed PNP switch....

Spray the exhaust bolts with a rust penetrant and let them soak. I did my a few weeks ago and you will need to remove the double exhaust pipe from the manifold and just behind the catalytic converter. Also on mine one of the trans cooler lines had to be disconnected from the trans for clearance to remove the switch.
The wires from the switch go up and over the trans and end in two plugs on the other side. Be very careful disconnecting them as they are plastic. Be very careful when you reconnect the trans cooler line so you do not cross thread it.

I have seen instructions that say you can remove the switch without removing the exhaust. Well not on my 92 960. I could get to the switch to take out the bolt, but there was not enough clearance to get it off the shaft. Also as I said the trans cooler line had to be discconnected. Pretty straight forward, just take you time.
