Why, I do believe we agree on not obsessing over idle time. Provided with the data we could predict reliability using an exponential failure rate calculation. What would the system reliability be at 1000 hrs of idle time if the failure rate were constant at 0.0001 / hr? (Rt) = e ^-(lambda)(time). If these were real numbers we would have approx 90.5% reliability. I suppose I don't have anything better to do on a cold, snowy evening here in NC. Hey, it's not even supposed to snow here!
