IS A BULB FAILURE SENSOR RELAY FROM A 86 240 GL COMPATIBLE WITH A 87 740 GLE's system?? 700

Hello guys!

Does anyone know if a bulb failure relay from a 1986 240 GL would be compatible with a 1987 740 GLE circuit board/system? My brake lights refuse to illuminate, even though all of the other lights work very well. Where is such a relay located in the 1986 240? I am aware of the 87 740 relay locality. Also what does the 240's relay look like? It appears that the 68 240 has the old fuses, and the 87 740 has the block fuses. Please help all advice/experiences would be greatly appreciated! Again all of my lights illuminate, including the rear fogs, its just no illumination upon tapping the brake pedal.

BEST REGARDS!
