Help!! Stranded on the interstate!!!! Won't start, and it is not the battery. 200 1980

Dudes,
Got off work last night at 2:00am, got halfway home in the blinding snow storm, and she just quit on me. Before she quit, I noticed that the windshield wipers were slower than usual ( the older 240's had very slow wipers even on high), but everything else seemed to be o.k. so , I took a good battery back and swapped them in extremely dangerous conditions on the interstate, only to have it do the same thing, barely turn over, maybe one revolution, and the headlights go completely out when I crank it with the headlights on. Starter? Alternator? When it quit, it started barely running, then just slowly stalled, I was able to just barely get it off the road, but it is still in a bad spot. I guess I will have it towed, I hate to pay for a tow, but sometimes you have to give in. Any ideas?
