M46 OD Problems 200 1983

I just bought a 242Ti with a nonfunctioning OD. The PO just replaced the actuating piston seals and various o-rings. One of the actuator seals was leaking. When he finished this the OD worked fine. However, it only worked once or twice and then wouldn't work anymore.

The light on the dash comes on but the OD does not engage. Sitting still, engine off, ignition on; if I push the button, the OD light comes on and I can hear the relay click and the solenoid makes a faint sound.

I've read the FAQ section on this and I'll follow those troubleshooting procedures tomorrow. If anyone has solved a similar problem though, maybe you could tell me where I should start.

Duane, if you're reading this, I bought this car from Danny Hall. You've provided him advice in the past and I believe you sold him the mini rebuild kit.
