Considering buying an '84 242T... 200

As I'd mentioned, I'm considering buying an '84 242 Turbo. I currently own an '87 240 with 200k+ miles and this one actually only has about 140k. I've been emailing the seller but he lives about 6 hours away and I'll probably drive to see it soon, but I was wondering if there are any specifics about this car that I should pay close attention to. I'm wanting this for my only car and I realize I'm going for an older car than what I already have. Is this smart? Or, you could just point me to some other good sources that are out there.

And, I'll say that this is my first post on this site as I just found it last night. I'm excited to have this as a resource. Hopefully I can contribute something too.
