transmision hack job 700

I need help desperately. My 89 760 turbo seems to be falling apart in the care of a transmission shop. I went in for an overdrive problem. Symptoms suggested a bad solenoid. The shop convinces me I need a rebuild in addition the solenoid, and a new driveshaft center support. 1,100 bucks later, my overdrive is great. But as I back the car out of their shop, my power steering is shuddering (they swear they didn't go near it). The center support hasn't stopped the rumble during acceleration. And to top it off, my gear shift indicator was left loose somehow such that it moves freely when I try to shift. I returned to the shop within the hour and left the car overnight. Now it won't start and I'm told that I need a new neutral safety switch (which is somehow also supposed to stop the shift indicator from moving). I plan to try cleaning and or draining the power steering fluid. Mech says I need a new pump. I suggested that he shim the driveshaft up or down but he's convinced now that the rumble in the rear is because of worn bushing on the tires. Hmm? AARGHUUGHCKAAAHH! Help!
Thanks
T Thompson
