Leaking Boot (Trunk) 700 1990

This is my first winter with my 1990 2.8 760GLE Saloon. Unfortunatly I am suffering with a leaking boot/trunk seeming to concenctrate on the drivers side behind the rear wheel. But the water also seems to get in anywhere around the opening to the boot.

The car is usually parked on a small slope towards the drivers side, so this would be the natural run off path. Excluding the rubber drain pipe which I will test over the next week, are there any other common leaks in this area that 700 series Saloon suffers from.
