Won't Start Now 200

86 244 was running like a top last week and now it cranks but won't fire up. Last week something was making too much fuel go to the engine. Took an AMM from a 1988 245 (ohms reading was 2.9 ohms)and it did not help. I pulled the connector off of the AMM to put it in the "limp home" mode. Still nothing.

I put a fuel injection ECU from a 1988 245 into the 1986 and it fired up for a few seconds and shut right off again, never to fire up again.

Is there any test to see if an ECU is sending the correct signal to the injectors?

Suggestions please
