Temporay oil leak fix?

I noticed an oil spot on my drive way underneath our 95 940. After some swearing and crawling underneath the @%^@$%^ car I found were the oil was coming from, damn rear main seal (at least in looks like). I found that the flame trap was clogged so a broke the nipple off of it and swore some more. After I replace the flame trap I noticed the leak had stopped. Well today I noticed the spot again. Is there a tempory fix for the leak while I save up the money for the seal replacement? I check all the other likely clog culprits and everything is clean so I sure it is a full fledge leak. I read a while bak that a quart of ATF will slow/stop leak temporarily, is this ok to do? What about those snake oil treatments like mystery oil stop leak?
