Auto Trans center console pop-out missing 900

I recently bought a 92 940SE, love the car - almost as much as my wife loves it, but maybe different reasons ;-)

One thing bugs me, though, and that's a missing pop-out just to the left of the gear shift lever on the black portion of the center console.

Any ideas on what that was, why it came out and how the heck I can find a replacement?
