still having no start / fuel problems 700 1986

Well, I found my fuel pump relay yesterday, took it out and opened it. It was in terrible shape, I re soldered all the connections put it back in, and the car started right up. I was sure I had found the problem. Unfortunately, fifteen minutes later the car stalled, and would not re start. I still think it is a fuel problem, because the car wants to start, sometimes it even catches, but if you hit the gas it doesn't accelerate, then it stalls, just as if you had turned off the ignition. Anyone out there have any new suggestions as to what to look for, or where to go from here ? Thanks for your help.
