Replacing Sills 200 1985

Hi lads & lasses,

I've recently set about doing something about the corrosion to various parts of my 240 Estate (1985). Having already tackled the notorious tail-gate opening bottom box section (the bit behind the bumper) with angle-grinder, new metal and MIG, I've turned my attention to the sills (rocker panels?).

The sills are not in bad condition, so I'll probably just cut out the bad bits and let in new metal. However, can anyone who has whipped off the sills completely and had a look inside, comment on how well the internals of the Volvo sill section seem to hold up over the years?

Many thanks, Doug
