700 vs 900 series 900 1993

You're exactly right.

The 92 was a big year (both 700 and 900).

single electric fan
Updated headrest design through 95
Pyrotechnical seat belts (SRS belts)
SIPS
added more underhood diagnostic capabilities (ABS SRS and so on)
auto locking diff on 92 models and up (some earlier ones)

in 93, all 940s (even naturally aspirated) got the AW71L trans
